Post Navy, while living in NYC, Jenkins began training record executives, and, not to be outdone, their celebrity clientele. Since then, he's had the pleasure of working with names like Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, LL Cool J and Sean Combs.
He's also passionate about fighting childhood obesity, and has been recently written up in outlets including The Washington Post for his efforts.
We felt a bit out of our element (after all, we're in shape, but not THAT kind of shape) but found the class to be challenging yet not overwhelming. That said, we later found that he went "easy" on the group of media types, in hopes that we'd return for a follow-up session.
Still, we loved the workout, which blended traditional boot camp-like experiences (squats, kickboxing, ect.) with jump roping, chair moves and even work with a "blade," a piece of fitness equipment once used to help recovering patients in wheelchairs regain body strength.
If you're interested in experiencing Mark's unique brand of torture for yourself, you can meet him at one of his upcoming events.
