Luxe Life: A Mobile Boutique, Ebay Launches The Inside Source, and Deacon contributes!

Shoppers, rejoice! Last week, EBay launched "The Inside Source," an online magazine to accompany all things fashion and fun.
Deacon is proud to announce that he has authored DC's inaugural posting to the site, corresponding with the arrival of the EBay Mobile Boutique, coming to DC TODAY and TOMORROW! The post covers ten great things to do during the holiday season. Our dear friend over at Project Beltway has also drawn up a fabulous Street Style posting that we're truly excited to say reflects all of the fashion-sense that DC should be known for.
According to EBay, "The Inside Source is a digital media destination that harnesses the eBay shopping community’s real time buying and selling activity to curate proprietary insights that shape the retail industry and American consumer’s lifestyles.
The Inside Source offers fresh, original perspective and editorial content, such as feature articles and opinion pieces written by journalists and shopping specialists, that provides an insider look at what’s hot and what’s next."
Check it out and let us know your thoughts - we think you'll love our holiday shopping guide!

Today: Miss Sinergy
Don't miss the 1st annual Miss Sinergy Pageant tonight at the House of Sweden. Unlike some pageants, which judge contestants solely on looks and questionable "talent" portion, Miss Sinergy's winner is whittled down from hundreds of contestants based on her commitment to charitable causes. The pageant also raises funds to help battle breast cancer. Deacon highly suggests you attend this worthy event!!
About the event:
The Miss Sinergy competition showcases Sinergy's commitment to charitable causes that serve to better individuals in the D.C. area and around the world. More specifically, the Miss Sinergy competition will bring resources to the fight against breast cancer, while finding a way to bring glamour, fun, and excitement to the metropolitan area. We will be casting the most diverse group of ladies that the region has to offer, while also seeking support from several locally-based businesses. Proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen foundation for breast cancer research.
Through the course of the competition, hundreds of contestants will be narrowed down to one, who will be crowned as queen and winner of the Miss Sinergy competition.
Ladies will be judged on the following criteria:
- Desire to contribute to national and international charitable causes effecting the quality of life around the world;
- Giving back to the environment;
- Confidence;
- Self-respect;
- Congeniality; and,
- Mental and physical health.
We will be doing a fashion show (swimsuit/evening gown) competition, which we feel the will embody the ladies' sense of style and composure.

Today: Blondes vs. Brunettes

Deacon isn't playing this year, but if you have some free time today, turn out to support the annual BVB football game. Not only is it for a great cause (Alzheimer's Research) but you'll likely get to see the Brunettes kick some Blondie butt for, oh, the umpteenth year in a row. Naturally, Deacon supports his own hair color, but even if you're of a different persuasion, remember that all proceeds do go to charity and this is just a little friendly competition!!
