If you're a loyal reader, you already know about Deacon's obsession with Kimpton hotels, including the many DC locations. The unique blend of style and quirk appeals to our senses, and the cost (usually quite affordable) is a balm to our often stretched wallets.
That's why we're particularly excited about the opening of Eventi, A Kimpton Hotel, in NYC's North Chelsea neighborhood. After all, writers often have to make jaunts to the Big Apple and one of our editor's offices is conveniently right in Chelsea.
"We are thrilled to bring Eventi to life," says Thomas Mathes, general manager of Eventi. "Eventi brings a new personality to the New York hotel scene and North Chelsea. Our guests can look forward to experiencing pleasant surprises complimented with distinctive Kimpton service as cornerstones of the Eventi livestyle."
Eventi's public areas, opening later this year, include an outdoor public plaza featuring a 20-foot media art screen along with a multi-level Food Parc and Basque concept restaurant from China Grill Management that create an energy, vibrancy and excitement which transforms a place to stay into a cosmopolitan lifestyle. The hotel's "Mind.Body.Spa." wellness program will offer an on-site fifth floor spa with three luxurious treatment rooms while On-Demand yoga, Pilates and meditation channels will be available in guestrooms as well as complimentary yoga accessories upon request. In-room spa treatments can be arranged with advance notice.
