You're Invited: Cochon 555
Join DC's top chefs and vintners as they participate in the regional competition for Cochon 555, the only national chef competition promoting heritage pigs and breed diversity. On May 2, these chefs will gather to prepare a meal of head-to-toe piggie, with the winner getting the nod to compete in the national competition being held in Aspen this June. Toques from Vidalia, Bibiana, Bourbon Steak, Eola and Westend Bistro will compete at the Ritz-Carlton, Washington.
Guests attending will get the chance to sample the chef creations, enjoy wine and appetizers and be the first to glimpse the chef winning the title of "Prince of Porc" for 2010. Oink, oink.
Those interested in attending should purchase advance tickets ($125 pp) at www.cochon555.com.
HOW: The cost is $125 per person and is open to the public. For tickets or more information visit www.cochon555.com <http://www.cochon555.com/> . Advance ticket purchase required.
