Looking for an excuse to splurge? (When aren't you?) If so, make haste and book a rez at one of the country's two newest luxury properties.
The Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles marks the hotel chain's first venture into the L.A. market and the first five-star property of its kind in the city. The hotel is the final piece of L.A. Live, a $2.5 billion sports, residential and entertainment district, which has been in the works since the opening of the STAPLES center in 1999.
The hotel boasts a prime location on the top of a 54-story tower and has 123 guestrooms, inclusive of 14 suites. For play, enjoy the city's only full-service hotel spa, a 8,000 square foot haven with nine treatment rooms and two relaxation lounges or the Wolfgang Puck restaurant WP24, an Asian concept with a wine cave and private dining options.
