It may no longer be on the front of your minds or the headlines of the television news, but Haiti still needs our help. Monday through Wednesday, merchants at Rockville town square and Bethesda Row will donate 10% of their proceeds to the Red Cross in support of Haiti relief.
It's a great cause, and you don't even have to go out of your way - what better way to donate to charity than by doing the things you'd already do?
The following merchants are participating:
Rockville Town Square: Bobby’s Crabcakes,
The Cottage Monet, Five Guys, Fractured Prune, Jouvence Aveda, La Canela, La Tasca, Lebanese Taverna, Noodles & Co., Robeks, Spice Xing, Sushi Damo, Thai Pavilion and The Waygoose, and AME Beauty Boutique.
Bethesda Row: Sassanova, Ginger, Aveda, City Sports, Georgetown Cupcakes, Jaleo, Redwood, The Waygoose and Lebanese Taverna.
I don't know about you, but scooping up some donuts, sushi, spa treatments, and chic spring clothes doesn't exactly sound like work to me!
If you have other fundraisers or charity events that you'd like posted to Deacon Does DC, please drop us an e-mail and we'd be happy to accommodate your cause.
