In Case You Missed It: Ritz Carlton "Bar Experience" Party
We had the distinct pleasure of attending the Ritz Carlton's "Bar Experience" launch event last week.
The party launched a new concept at all Ritz Carlton bars - creative new cocktails and fun small plates meant to transform their hotel bars into destinations for locals as well as guests.
The party seemed to succeed - packed to the gills with notables from the hospitality and media industries, everyone enjoyed noshing on apps like pork sliders, chicken croquettes, mini quesadillas, calamari and fries. Cocktails, including inventive twists on jello shots (served on silver spoons!) were big hits.
In an economically-friendly move, most all items on the menu are under $15 and meant to be both shared and mixed-and-matched. Katie over at WeLoveDC (we stole your photo too) has a much more thorough explanation, as well as the great blog Hotel Chatter.
We saw (unfortunately) that our friend and hotel PR maven Audrey was also shooting a video at the event, so if that turns up soon ... sorry.
