It was a foodie-filled weekend over at DeaconDoesDC. Saturday night brought a visit to Annapolis’ newest dining destination, Carpaccio Tuscan Kitchen & Wine Bar, housed next to the new Westin hotel and the Park Place condo community. In typical Annapolis fashion, the dress code ranged from jeans and tee shirts to slacks and blazers, which lent the restaurant a fun, casual vibe. The menu is extensive, divided into sections for appetizers, seafood, pizza, pasta and meats. Dishes are exclusively Italian, but with a Maryland twist - the special of diver sea scallops wrapped in prosciutto came topped with slices of lump blue crab and drizzles of Maryland crab bisque. Portions are generous, and service was remarkably attentive given the hustle and bustle of the night.
If you’re visiting town, it’s definitely a place I’d consider making a stop — particularly if you’re hungry.
