It might be a holiday diners have never heard of, but after sampling a wide-range of handmade tortellini stuffed with savory delicacies such as hay-smoked pheasant, duck confit and wild boar, National Tortellini Day on February 13, 2011 will never again be forgotten.
Stefano Frigerio of the Copper Pot Food Company is celebrating the little-known holiday with a gratis tasting of over 10 varieties of artisanal crafted tortellini and their handmade sauces. Deacon has sampled these sauces and pastas and let us tell you ... they're a treat meant to be savored again and again and again.
