You're Invited: Visionary Crazy Maker Art Show at L2

We all know Georgetown's L2 Lounge for its chic nightlife and crazy good cocktails, but what about its rep in the art scene? (Yep, that one passed us by too.) But on July 29th, the lounge will transform for one night only into a private gallery venue for DC-based painter and mixed-media collage artist Ross Ruot.

Of his art, Ruot says, "I take a contemporary approach in dealing with color, depth and composition. Fascinated with how colors interact and intrigued by how their relationships change with different surface scales and textures, I am drawn to create balance between order and chaos. I create undertheinfluence of the experiences, perceptions and responses of my daily life; my work is a mirror of the worlds in which I travel."

Ross Ruot is a self-taught emerging artist residing in Georgetown, Washington, DC. He currently balances his artistic endeavors with full-time employment supporting the Department of Defense's TRICARE Management Activity within Acquisition Management and Support.

Ruot is displaying 13 new works, several with interactive components.
