Think you’ve got style and substance? Of course you do, but sometimes even the most savvy lady needs a refresher on the proper ways of entertaining.
May 20th, join Anna Post, the great-great granddaughter of Emily Post, as she celebrates her newly-released guide to entertaining, Great Get-Togethers, Casual Gatherings & Elegant Parties at Home with a lunch at the Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner. Proceeds will benefit Northern Virginia charity Childhelp and a signed copy of her book, released on May 4, is included in the $95 ticket price.
Co-authored with her sister Lizzie, Post’s new book is a guide to party planning and home entertaining with a modern twist. According to Post the book is “aimed at capturing a new generation of experienced and aspiring hosts alike, and it focuses on cultivating a person’s signature party style.”
Filled with checklists on the necessities of every imaginable celebration, from picnics to traditional Sunday dinner, from cocktail parties to children’s birthday bashes, the guide walks readers through the entire event planning process. It offers hosts guidelines on timelines, supplies along with trouble-shooting tips.
Anna Post, the author of Do I Have to Wear White?, works for The Emily Post Institute where she leads business etiquette seminars for companies around the country.
