Some may say that cupcakes are so 2008, but Deacon says that a sweet treat never really goes out of style.
So when Jon Mervis of Mervis Diamonds sent us this decadent cupcake yesterday, we decided it was definitely worth posting about.
They're calling it the world's first-ever diamond cupcake (although Couture Cupcakes, formerly with Tiny Jewel Box, might have them beat). This baby boasts $30k worth of diamonds and was created in prep for the store's wedding rinkg trunk show, to take place on May 1 &2. An appropriate date - May 1 is our mom and dad's wedding anniversary.
It's a joint creation of Mervis Diamond Importers and Classic Bakery, in Rockville. The photos are taken by Labor of Love Photography.
And, of course, since Deacon is a very Type A dog, the details of our own nuptuials have been pretty much figured out. Marriage to take place here, bridesmaid dresses here, and flowers like this.
