Apparently the rain is making people think that going home and having a drink is a good idea, because there’s more cocktail news to come.
For now:
Degrees caught election fever.
Starting next Monday (because Mondays are always good days to drink) they’re offering signature election drinks.
Barack fans will want to order rounds of “Jager Bamas” or “Long Island Honest Teas” (ingredients seem pretty self-explanatory) while McCain loyalists will pony up for “McHitos” and “Sun Devils,” a tribute to his Arizona home that blends Bacardi, Malibu, OJ and peach puree.
Apathetic? They’ve renamed their Cosmo the “Cosmopolitician,” so you can still get in on the drinking action without worrying about making a statement.
Since it’s never a good idea to drink on an empty stomach, consider ordering a “Barack n’ Roll” (crispy spicy tuna rolls with a cucumber seaweed salad) or “Shrimp McCain,” (grilled shrimp with tomatillo serrano chili).
Hmm, wonder if I can just cast my ballot by ordering dinner instead of waiting in line to vote?
