The elves have been asking Deacon to offer up suggestions for holiday gifts, and what better way to share them than with the masses? Over the next week, we'll offer some of our favorite ideas for holiday presents, most of which are moderately-priced and ideal for friends and family.
If you have a specific suggestion or are in need of a gift idea, please feel free to e-mail Deacon and we'll address your question via e-mail or online.
This first installment is for Becca, who wants to know what to get her two sisters, both of whom love fashion and entertaining.
Deacon would package a sweet book with some entertaining essentials. Our top suggestions? Anything by Assouline is always a great bet. What about their new Vintage Cocktails ($50) book or the American Fashion Cookbook ($45), with a forward by Martha Stewart?
(Psst, we found Hip Sips ($16.95) at South Moon Under for a cheaper alternative)
We'd pair these with a great selection of cocktail napkins, our favorite homemade bar nuts in a pretty jar, or maybe even a pretty bottle stopper. We've been finding great napkins and bottle stoppers at HomeGoods.
We're also in love with this Jingle Bell martini shaker ($20) from Pier 1. Even if you have a bunch, this is the ideal shaker to display at the holiday season.
For the consummate hostess, go with a gift $25 and under - a great bottle of wine in one of these fashion-forward holiday wine cozys from Pottery Barn ($8) is always a great bet. Another easy way to do this is to buy a package of fun ornaments (we found three silver reindeer for just $9) and drape the ornament over the wine bottle. Cheap, chic and easy as pie!
