In Case You Missed It: Bachelors and Spinsters at CTC

Deacon politely reviewed Bachelors and Spinsters on Washingtonian.com this morning. Things we neglected to mention in the more prominent write up:

1) The women who wore more casual long dresses looked great. The women who donned full-on ball gowns looked like idiots.
2) Most of the gentlemen present seemed perfectly nice. However, the crowd of age 6o+ gentlemen reminded us of our grandparents. We were especially creeped by one old guy who cornered us to brag about how he'd been a guest at this "exclusive" event for several years and how hard it was to get on the invite list. Um, we're both here, aren't we? He also suggested that we move our gigantic cocktail ring (an obscenely huge fake diamond) to another finger so that "we appeared single." Thank you, but no - it's on that finger to prevent weirdos like you from talking to us.
3) Aforementioned creepy old men staring at young girls on the dance floor.
4) The upstairs singer was quite good, but the music she was performing made us want to jump off of the terrace, not dance on it.
5) The auction room was literally about 90 degrees.
