Say Yum: Wine dinner at Teatro Goldoni

DC's see-and-be seen crowd knows a good meal when they smell one ... and for top-notch Italian, they turn to none other than Teatro Goldoni, K Street's famed restaurant.

Saturday, the resto is offering up a five course wine dinner with elegant fall flavors ...

So if you're looking for a hearty splurge, we'd strongly suggest booking a rez pronto.

Deets: 7 pm, $75 per person, not including tax or gratuity of 20%.

Menu Sneak Peek

  • Roasted chestnuts in a cone with honey mustard truffle butter
  • Crispy chicken and corn fritters apple glaze
  • Spoons of gorgonzola panna cotta and Parma prosciutto with candied celery
  • Cold stone style filet of veal carpaccio with quail egg, black truffles citrus dressing and cornets of celery parmesan and chanterelles mushrooms with a parmesan tuile, Piedmontese hazelnuts and seasonal micro greens
  • Potato gnocchi pasta in a butter sage sauce over a puree of roasted pumpkin and sauté black trumpets mushrooms with shaves of Castelrosso cheese
  • Roasted filet of Halibut over a warm broccoli mayonnaise and a ragu of leeks with capers and black olives and a roasted red pepper tartare
  • Roasted loin of red wine marinated venison and served over velvety eggplant ragu' with chestnut puree` a sauce of balsamic vinegar and chocolate and a crunchy tarte of turnips and cheese with fresh thyme
  • Almond cinnamon toffee torte bar covered in roasted chocolate nibs served with a sauce of Prosecco and toasted almonds with braised apples
  • Petit Fours and Biscotti
