Don't forget that Capital Food Fight 2008 is taking place Tuesday night at the Regan Building. We'll be there, camera in hand, to document all of the action.
What is it, you ask?
DC's top restos show off their best dishes (see food list below for a sneak peek) and five of the area's top chefsand their sous chefs will compete in Iron-Chef like cooking battles to win top honors. Last year, Barton Seaver, formerly of Hook, took top honors. Each has only ten minutes to create a dish featuring a special exotic ingredient, revealed only ten minutes before the battle.
Judges and hosts include the famed Jose Andres, Ted Allen of Food Detectives on the Food Network, and Mark Kessler as MC.
Proceeds benefit the DC Central Kitchen.
