If there's one thing Deacon can't live without, it's his (almost) nightly martini. (Actually, Deacon likes the ice cubes the best ... but it's the idea that counts.)
So it comes as no surprise that we're pretty much the first in line for any sort of cocktail-themed event. Heck, we even had a "come as your favorite drink" party in college.
So on December 5th, you'll find us partying like it's 1933 (the year they repealed prohibition) at the City Tavern Club for the "Repeal Day" party.
We'll be boozin' and schmoozin' to celebrate the 75th anniversary of our legal consumption with the D.C. Craft Bartenders Guild (yes, the same people behind the now-defunct Hummingbird to Mars).
Guest bartenders include locals Owen Thompson (Bourbon), Gina Chersevani (EatBar) and Derek Brown (The Gibson). Special guests will include Tony Abou-Ganim (Host of Fine Living Network’s “Raising the Bar”), Jeffrey Morgenthaler (RepealDay.org founder) and other top bartenders from throughout the United States.
Hors d'oeuvres will be provided throughout the night by the City Tavern Club and a 1930s jazz band will set the mood and provide the tunes for dancing.
